Welcome

Hello all! First let me welcome you all to the story of our day to day lives. Many of you may wonder where the title Waffles and Noodles came from.  Once upon a time in a time long before the current day, I was seaking some assistance in dealing with a relationship that had become stagnant. I was told by a wise older preacher man that my brain was like a waffle. I had compartments that I placed everything into. I had the ability to separate work from home, children from intimacy, chores from sports.  My significant other at the time, however had a brain that more closely resembles a plate of spaghetti noodles. Everything is touching and all of them can affect one or all of the others. This is the explanation I now use in my personal and professional life. When co-workers ask how I can multi task or when my wife (Noodles) ask how I can be making dinner and not hear the kids causing chaos this is my explanation. Please don't get it wrong there are definitely times when my waffle boxes overflow and they all meet in the middle and I lose my $¥|t and Noodles has to sort my mess and reorganize the waffle. Some call it yin and yang some call it light and dark  we call it love and life.

Our story

How many times can God throw one person in your way before he has to put you right next to each other.  The answer for us is more than 4.  Waffle and Noodles paths crossed many times before God decided to sit them next to each other (literally).  Waffle was a single dad raising 3 boys all on his own (with the help of family), Noodles was working as a personal assistant taking the less fortunate shopping for groceries and purchasing clothing for foster children and their new families. She also did shopping for a local charity who hosted big Christmas parties every year for the less fortunate. Waffle was working registers and in the accounting office for a large grocery chain while Noodles would read books while her clients went shopping and as these purchases were tax exempt Waffle would have to be the one to ring her out. Waffle decided that his time was better suited in a department store and low and behold Noodles happened to frequent this store as well. Well guess who had to ring up her order.  Noodles actually purchased Gifts for Waffles children before they knew each other. For whatever reason neither of them kept the jobs that had caused there paths to cross more than 3 times. Somehow both of them ended up working for the same company on different projects.  When Noodles project decided to leave the company she was assigned to the same project as Waffle and the only open chair was right next to guess who. God in his infinite Wisdom knew he had to push us together!
