Hello all! First let me welcome you all to the story of our day to day lives. Many of you may wonder where the title Waffles and Noodles came from. Once upon a time in a time long before the current day, I was seaking some assistance in dealing with a relationship that had become stagnant. I was told by a wise older preacher man that my brain was like a waffle. I had compartments that I placed everything into. I had the ability to separate work from home, children from intimacy, chores from sports. My significant other at the time, however had a brain that more closely resembles a plate of spaghetti noodles. Everything is touching and all of them can affect one or all of the others. This is the explanation I now use in my personal and professional life. When co-workers ask how I can multi task or when my wife (Noodles) ask how I can be making dinner and not hear the kids causing chaos this is my explanation. Please don't get it wrong there are definitely times when my waffle boxes overflow and they all meet in the middle and I lose my $¥|t and Noodles has to sort my mess and reorganize the waffle. Some call it yin and yang some call it light and dark we call it love and life.
Waffles

Who we are.
We are a blended family with Dad (Waffles), Mom (Noodles) with 6 boys who range in age from 30 to 12, 1 beautiful granddaughter who is 5, 2 cats and 1 dog. We divide our boys into 2 categories the olders and the littles ( not so little anymore). Our middle little has been diagnosed as functioning with autism. While there are several issues we deal with, time management and issues with peers definitely are our biggest battles. 2 of our boys have AdHD and keeping there brains occupied is a full time challenge.
We will be sharing our stories of parenthood and stories of the new challenges we face while parenting our parents, in laws, out laws and all that life has become to a couple of younger old parents.
